Facelift
The Facelift is a cosmetic procedure that counteracts the effects of aging and sun exposure by tightening the skin around the face and neck. The procedure leaves little visible scarring and smoothes wrinkles and pockets of droopiness. The facelift procedure targets the lower half of the face, specifically: the cheeks, mouth, and jawline. Other facial plastic surgery procedures such as blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), browlift , and necklift smooth skin on other areas of the face. The results of a facelift are not permanent, as the skin will continue to age, but the procedure can be expected to slow the appearance of aging in the face. Those who will experience the greatest success through the facelift procedure have good general health, do not smoke, and have elasticity in their skin.
During the facelift procedure excess fat and tissue may be removed. Atlanta facelift surgeon Dr. John LeRoy will work to hide most scarring within the creases of the face, ears or along the patient’s hairline.
Patient Story – “When I reached 65, I looked in the mirror and I saw a different face that I did not have before. I said to myself, I am going to give myself a birthday present. I am going to have my face done.”
