Restylane® and Juvederm®

In fact, Dr. LeRoy was one of the first providers in Atlanta to offer wrinkle reducing dermal injectables. He’s continued that track record with the addition of dermal filler injections (Juvederm® and Restylane®) to his services menu. Facial fillers work to synthetically simulate the hyaluronic acid (HA) that naturally promotes the volumizing effect of collagen in youthful skin. Not only are fillers effective in wrinkle reduction, but they are also appropriate treatments in scar filling (acne scarring) and lip enhancement.
The wrinkle filling gels, Restylane® and Juvederm®, are most commonly injected through a small needle and few quick injections (10-15 minutes is typically required for the whole procedure) into the nasal labial folds (smile lines or parentheses) around the mouth, marionette lines (lines that give expressions a downward appearance), and vertical lines (small lines caused by sun exposure, smoking, and stress around the mouth) of the face. The results of Restylane® and Juvederm® are temporary, usually remaining visible for 6 months. Adding to the procedures’ appeal is the recent FDA approval of the facial filler’s use with lidocaine (local anesthetic.)
