Win $1,000 for a Local Charity!

It’s that time of year again—no, not the time for colorful leaves and pumpkin spice everything, but time for our fall social media charity contest. At the plastic surgery office of Dr. John L. LeRoy, we’re grateful to be a part of the Atlanta community and to have received so much support throughout our more than twenty years in practice. To pay it forward, each season we hold a charity contest and enlist your help to choose a deserving, local non-profit organization who can make good use of our $1,000 donation, and it’s that time once again when we invite you to participate.

October Specials for a Younger-Looking You

For most Atlantans, the name Dr. John LeRoy makes them think of the Band Aid Facelift—the minimally invasive procedure he created to make a significant but natural-looking impact on facial aging with less recovery time, less scarring, and only gentle numbing. However, at Dr. LeRoy’s plastic surgery office, we also understand that each patient is unique and that cosmetic surgery isn’t the right solution for everyone. Whether you’re not yet ready for a Band Aid Facelift or your goal is to maintain the results of an earlier facelift, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to save on some of the most popular non-surgical procedures we offer for facial rejuvenation.

October Specials for a Younger-Looking YouBand Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing

Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing uses tiny columns of laser light to help your body produce more collagen (which makes your skin stronger, firmer, and more youthful) while leaving untouched skin between these microscopic “treatment zones” so you can get back to your daily activities in no time. This procedure can be ideal for patients who want to address a number of skin concerns at once, like wrinkles, age spots, and acne scars.

Band Aid Skin Tightening

For patients whose primary concern is sagging skin, Band Aid Skin Tightening may be the way to go. During this procedure, the Protégé system sends targeted heat energy into the deeper layers of the skin, helping the skin to rebuild the collagen that has been lost as a result of aging, sun exposure, and other factors. Band Aid Skin Tightening doesn’t require any downtime, and to get the best possible results, most patients should receive a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart.

Ultimately, choosing a facial rejuvenation procedure (whether it’s non-surgical or a more comprehensive plastic surgery) is a personal decision which should be based on your individual goals and needs. With over 20 years of experience as a double board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. LeRoy can provide specialized treatment whether you choose Botox® injections, a Band Aid plastic surgery, or a more extensive surgical procedure. Fighting Back Against Forehead Creases

No one likes getting wrinkles, but at least we can look at some wrinkles (like smile lines) as fond memories. Unfortunately, those all-too-common horizontal lines that appear across the forehead don’t give us that luxury. These forehead wrinkles or creases are largely caused by repeated facial expressions that contract these muscles—especially frowns and other stress-induced expressions. As our skin becomes naturally thinner and weaker with age, it shows these muscle contractions more and more, and the combination of aging skin and repeated facial movements can lead to noticeable forehead wrinkles. Luckily, there are several ways to restore a more youthful and relaxed look to your brow.

Fighting Back Against Forehead CreasesBand Aid Brow Lift

A traditional brow lift uses an incision across the scalp to remove sagging skin and reposition the underlying tissue to give the forehead a smoother, younger appearance. However, throughout over 20 years as a double board-certified plastic surgeon, I have found that nearly all forehead rejuvenation patients can receive the results they want with a minimally invasive procedure that I developed called the Band Aid Brow Lift. Like my other Band Aid plastic surgery procedures, the Band Aid Brow Lift is performed in-office with gentle numbing rather than general anesthesia, and it uses smaller incisions and specially-designed techniques to minimize scarring, recovery time, and cost.

Non-Surgical Treatments for Forehead Wrinkles

If your brow creases haven’t yet progressed far enough to call for cosmetic surgery (or if you’ve already had a Band Aid Brow Lift and want to maintain your results for longer), there are a variety of non-surgical procedures that can be effective for minimizing wrinkles as well:

  • Botox® and Dysport® are both cosmetic facial injections that improve forehead creases by relaxing the underlying muscles that have become tense after years of those repeated facial expressions. Relaxing the muscle smooths a perpetually furrowed brow and helps you look happier and younger. While the results are temporary, these treatments are ideal for patients with tight schedules because they require no downtime and the procedure can typically be completed in 10-15 minutes.
  • Band Aid Skin Tightening and Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing are both non-surgical ways to build collagen, the protein that gives your skin its youthful firmness and elasticity. While they operate differently (Band Aid Skin Tightening uses targeted heat while Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing uses tiny beams of laser light), both procedures are effective for facial rejuvenation, and we can discuss your individual needs to determine which treatment is the best choice for you.

For patients hoping to improve the appearance of forehead wrinkles, there are many treatment options available because every patient is unique, both in their individual anatomy and in how aging has affected them. Band Aid Plastic Surgery Featured in Atlanta Magazine

As a double board-certified plastic surgeon, I love helping all my patients achieve results that make them feel like their most beautiful and confident selves, but I’m best known in the Atlanta community for developing the Band Aid Plastic Surgeries. Recently featured in Atlanta Magazine, my Band Aid procedures are minimally invasive versions of traditional plastic surgeries, and because they can be performed in-office with gentle numbing, they carry fewer risks than a surgery that uses general anesthesia, and patients find themselves with minimal scarring and downtime but noticeable, natural-looking results.

band aid plastic surgery I developed the Band Aid Facelift, my first Band Aid procedure, nearly twenty years ago, and it remains one of my most popular surgeries. But many patients don’t realize how many other Band Aid procedures I’ve added to the roster since then:

  • Band Aid Blepharoplasty – cosmetic surgery for the eyelids, either to improve sagging skin that gives the eyes a “hooded” appearance, or to remove puffy “bags” under the eyes
  • Band Aid Brow Lift – lifts drooping skin around the eyes and the forehead
  • Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing – skin treatment that uses tiny beams of light to perforate precise areas of the skin, causing new collagen to form and improving the appearance of wrinkles, age spots, acne scars/facial scarring, and lax skin
  • Band Aid Skin Tightening – non-surgical procedure in which the Protégé system uses targeted warmth to stimulate collagen production and make the skin firmer and more youthful
  • Band Aid Arm Lift – removes mild amounts of excess skin that sags from the underside of the upper arm, which can be caused by weight fluctuations or aging, and removes unwanted fat in the area if necessary
  • Band Aid Tummy Tuck – excises loose skin from the abdomen using a smaller incision than a traditional tummy tuck and focusing only on the lower areas that need improvement
  • Band Aid Liposuction – uses tiny incisions and narrow tubes to remove small, localized pockets of unwanted fat from areas like above the elbow, around the knees, under the chin, and on the lower abdomen

Band Aid plastic surgery procedures can be a great way to attain natural-looking results with minimal scarring and recovery time, but this is only true for the right patient. Choosing the best cosmetic procedure for your unique needs and concerns is a key step in getting the best possible results.
