John LeRoy M.D. uses a combination of cosmetic breast surgery and body procedures in mommy makeover surgery to repair the effects of pregnancy and child birth. Components of mommy makeover surgery may include: liposuction, breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift, and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). Mommy makeover procedures are cosmetic in nature and designed for women who do not plan on having more children.
Dr. LeRoy uses liposuction to remove isolated deposits of excess fat in a mother’s abdomen, love handles, hips, thighs, and/or buttocks that won’t respond to her best diet and exercising efforts. Women who suffer from a “pooch” or distended looking abdomen, despite returning to a healthy post-baby weight, may have muscle separation caused by a baby’s rapid growth.
Dr. LeRoy remedies this muscle separation through abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) in which he surgically re-tacks the loose musculature of the abdomen and eliminates any excess superficial skin or tissue. Because a woman’s abdomen isn’t the only thing that grows during pregnancy, Dr. LeRoy may combine tummy tuck surgery with a cosmetic breast procedure.
Breast reduction (macromastia) surgery and breast lift (maxopexy) surgery may be used to eliminate the excess weight and tissue that forms as a result of pregnancy and breastfeeding. Breast augmentation, may also be used to restore any lost breast volume after pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The physical effects of pregnancy are different for every woman; therefore, mommy makeover surgery is custom tailored to address the concerns of each patient. To schedule a mommy makeover surgery consultation contact Dr. LeRoy’s office.
